There is a limit to how efficiently you can use your time: your energy!

I used to think that the limit to how productive I could be was the time I had to do some kind of work. After discovering and incorporating many productivity methods and techniques, it came to a point where time wasn’t the limiting factor anymore, but energy was.

In my opinion, if you reach a certain level of productivity, the main constraint shifts to energy. And it makes sense! Some tasks are more draining than others, hence depleting your energy levels faster.

How do you overcome that?

When planning your week, don’t just allocate time blocks, but also energy blocks. Assure that there aren’t too many energy-draining activities and if there are, follow them up with lighter ones!

What do you think about the concept of managing your energy instead of your time? Please share your thoughts in the comments, e-mail me, or write me on LinkedIn.
